How Does RNTR Work?

No, you are able to browse our entire library of items for rent in your area, free of charge.

Only when you are ready to rent an item, or list your own items on RNTR, will you need to create an account.

1. Head on over to the homepage and click on "Login".
2. On the "Login" screen, click on the "Create Account" option, then fill out the form with your account information.
3. Once your account information is entered, submit your information.

Congrats! You are officially part of the RNTR community!

Having a RNTR account, browsing, and listing your items for rent is completely free!

There is not, and never will be, a monthly subscription to use RNTR. You will only be charged if you rent out an item, or rent one of your listed items to someone else. 

What are the fees?

For the person renting out someone else's item: a 10% service fee.

For the person that lists their item, that some one else rents: a 5% service fee.

Images of all rental items are required at the beginning and end of the rental process.

Once returned, the lister of the item will have the opportunity to inspect the item and verify it is in the same condition as when it was rented out.

If any damages are found, the lister may add an additional damage fee to the transaction.

Refunds can be requested through the rental listing, found within "My Rentals" in your account.

The refund policy is subject to the individual store's terms of service.

You'll receive payments through our secure payment processor, Stripe. Once a rental is completed, you'll receive the funds in 2–3 business days.

RNTR pays the credit card processing fee, not the lister.

A renter is responsible for leaving a rented item in the condition it was in when the renter takes possession. The renter is also responsible for paying all damage claims necessary to cover any damage caused while in their possession.

In the rare case when something is damaged and you aren't able to resolve it with the renter, know that we have your back! With the "RNTR Guarantee", we cover your listing up to $2,000 when rented to ID-Verified Individuals***.
