Green Dreams: How to Rent a Lawn Mower for the Day

A well-manicured lawn is the hallmark of a beautiful home, but not everyone has the space to store a lawn mower — or the need to use it frequently. This is where the glory of tool rental comes into play. In this comprehensive guide, we'll explore the empowerment you need to achieve that perfect green carpet — without the maintenance, costs, and storage space needed owning a lawnmower.

1. Research Local Rental Options

Take a look at your options listed on RNTR! Search for “lawn tools”, or “lawn mowers”. You’ll be able to see plenty of local options that allow for you to choose the best lawn mower for your lawn care needs — whether you are looking for zero-turn, a riding mower, or a simple push lawn mower. You’ll also be able to look at options like whether you want one that is powered with fuel or electricity.

2. Decide Which Mower Option is Best for You on RNTR

Once you’ve scoped out all of your local options on RNTR, choose the rental option that works best for your project.

3. Select your Rental Options

Once you select the mower listing that is best for your project, click on the listing and hit the “continue” button. Then, the rental time frame options will pop up, allowing you to select the dates and times that you’d like to use the listing. You can also select whether you would like to pick it up or have it delivered (usually with an additional fee) and which times work best for you and the mower’s owner to coordinate the rental exchange. Then, select the “Continue” button.

4. Check Out and Submit Your Request

Once you’ve selected your options, checkout! You’ll then send a request to the owner to ensure that the timeframe works. If it doesn’t, they may message you to reschedule or adjust your request. You will not be charged until this is finalized.

5. Watch Your Notifications!

You’ll be notified on the RNTR site, as well as by email when your rental request has been accepted. Be sure to check this often to ensure that you are aware of any rentals that you’ll need to pick up, or dropped off.

6. Rent It Out!

Utilize your rental item, and then finalize the return with images uploaded to the listing before and after use. Once you are finished, you’ll arrange with the owner to have the mower picked up or delivered.

7. Celebrate!

Congratulations — you did it! You successfully rented out a lawn mower, and your lawn looks stunning. Now go relax, and enjoy that perfectly manicured lawn you’ve got.
